Qatar Airways, recently recognized as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for 2025, has successfully completed its Starlink installation programme across 54 Boeing 777 aircraft, fulfilling its commitment to provide the fastest in-flight Wi-Fi at unprecedented speeds.
This achievement positions Qatar Airways as the operator of the largest fleet of widebody aircraft with Starlink technology, solidifying its leadership in offering Starlink-enabled connectivity on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights. Furthermore, Qatar Airways remains the sole carrier in the Middle East and North Africa to offer this service.
Initially planned as a two-year project, the installation was completed in just nine months, nearly halving the expected timeline. The airline achieved this rapid deployment by reducing the retrofit time from three days to an impressive 9.5 hours per aircraft, ensuring smooth operations without any interruptions.
