Wahab new VP of Revenue Cycle
Lake Charles Memorial Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Adelani “Lany” Wahab, MD, MPH, MBA as vice president of Revenue Cycle. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of the health system’s revenue cycle operations — including patient access, billing, coding, collections, and financial performance strategies across the organization.
Wahab brings over a decade of experience leading revenue cycle operations and improving how health systems manage payment for patient care. He most recently served as system director of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Operations at Alameda Health System in California, where he led systemwide initiatives that improved patient access, contact center, revenue integrity, reduced denial rates, training and optimized performance across medical and dental service lines.
With previous medical training, his career has been marked by his unique ability to bridge clinical expertise with operational excellence. He previously held key leadership roles at Stanford Health Care, MediRevv/Providence Health, and Webster Medical Group, where he consistently improved financial performance, reduced accounts receivable, and strengthened compliance practices.
He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas, and dual MBAs in Business Intelligence and Management from California State University. Lany has multiple certifications and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Visit Lake Charles staff honored
Visit Lake Charles is proud to announce that three of its team members have earned the prestigious Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation from Destinations International (DI), the global association for destination organizations. The CDME is the highest individual educational achievement in the tourism industry, recognizing leaders with advanced knowledge and strategic insight in destination marketing and management.
Taylor Beard Stanley, vice president of sales; Kathryn Shea Duncan, senior director of social media and communications; and Colten Miller, senior director of brand marketing, were awarded their CDME designations during Destinations International’s Annual Convention held in Chicago.
In addition, Aubrey Caldwell, sports event and volunteer coordinator, was selected as a recipient of DI’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2025. This annual recognition highlights 30 emerging leaders in the tourism industry from across the globe.
Caldwell is among an accomplished class of honorees representing 30 destinations across four countries. Throughout the year, the 30 Under 30 program will provide year-long professional development and networking opportunities.
The CDME program is designed to equip destination leaders with strategic vision and business acumen in an evolving industry landscape. Participants complete four core courses, two electives, a final exam, and a research paper focused on applying knowledge to critical issues within the destination marketing field.
With these new certifications, Visit Lake Charles now has nine CDME-certified team members. Caldwell becomes the third current team member to have received this honor, joining Stanley and Duncan in representing Visit Lake Charles among the industry’s emerging leaders.
Weekly presented Service Award
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Detective Steffan Weekly was awarded the 2025 Law Enforcement Officer Distinguished Service Award by the Louisiana Bankers Association.
“Financial crimes can be long and complicated cases that take a lot of time and patience,” said Sheriff Stitch Guillory. “Detective Weekly has shown he’s willing to put in that work to get results and arrests. His work truly makes a difference for the people in our community, and I am proud to have him here at CPSO.”
Each year the Louisiana Bankers Association recognizes outstanding law enforcement officers who assist banks with the investigation of financial crimes. Weekly was one of four recipients to receive the award, which is nominated by bankers from across the state.
The Sculptry welcomes Pauley
Amber Pauley, RN, has joined The Sculptry as the aesthetic clinic’s practice manager.
The Sculptry offers a wide range of medical aesthetic treatments, including injectables such as Botox, dermal filler, and biostimulators; facials and chemical peels, lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, and skin lifting devices
Originally from Victoria, Texas, Pauley has called Moss Bluff home for over 30 years. A graduate of Sam Houston High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from McNeese State University, where she also played on the Cowgirl volleyball team. She later returned to McNeese and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Pauley brings over 12 years of experience as a registered nurse to The Sculptry. In her new position, she is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for patients. This includes oversight of medical aesthetics and patient care; quality assurance; inventory control, training and development; compliance; and overall management of the clinic.
