ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – The Bear Valley Girl Scout troop got a firsthand look at the technology that powers a local newscast.
Members of the Anchorage Girl Scout Troop 23082 visited Alaska’s News Source for a behind-the-scenes tour of the newsroom, control room, studio, and weather center — and even got their moment in the spotlight.
The troop is working toward earning their Junior Entertainment Technology Badge, and what better place to explore cutting-edge technology than a local TV station?
From the newsroom floor to the weather center, the Scouts got an up-close look at the equipment, technology, and many jobs that make every broadcast possible.
They tested the cameras by being on them, broadcasting live to all of Alaska.
Welcome to the airwaves, Troop 23082!
