Armani’s Latest Capsule Collection Celebrates the Designer’s Signature Style

It’s safe to say that Giorgio Armani has had quite the year—and it’s not even February. Hot on the heels of his Milan show (of which there were multiple to accommodate all the guests), the 90-year-old eminence grise of Italian fashion set off for Paris, where he staged his very well-received spring 2025 haute couture show.

Decades after loosening up tailoring for men (see Richard Gere in American Gigolo) and providing women with a new system of dressing that made satin trousers an acceptable black-tie option (just have a look at Jodie Foster or Sophia Loren on the red carpet), Armani has earned a status that few, other than the Ralphs or Chanels of the world share. With a style so signature, so iconic, simply uttering the phrase “that’s so Armani” is enough to conjure an image.

Timeless as the Amani look may now be, it’s easy to forget how disruptive it was at the time as it defied gender conventions. The That’s So Armani capsule collection, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week, celebrates just that. A campaign shot by Luis Alberto Rodriguez highlights a curated selection of iconic Armani designs that showcase the designer’s signature soft tailoring in a variety of luxe fabrics—vicuna and cashmere, in signature Armani navy and black—modeled by DJ Kaytranada, actor Archie Renaux, and model Soo Joo Park.
